Great just bloody excellent. That immature vampire was my superior? I just hoped her sister was more mature. I followed Cole as she led me around the castle. I barely listened to anything she said. Really I was just interested in the size of the place. I could get lost in here if I wasn’t careful.
“So what do you think?” Sarah asked. I looked at them.
“Huh?”
“What do you think of the castle?” Sarah said rolling her eyes.
“It’s…big.” I muttered.
“Not much for words are you?” Cole asked.
“whatever.” I looked down at Genevieve I had almost forgotten that she was there. She looked up at me and grinned. Then she looked to Cole and tugged at her pants. Cole looked down. Genevieve pointed to one of the windows and Cole looked out of it quizzically.
“Play hide and seek with me?” Genevieve asked Cole. Cole turned and knelt down to her height. She whispered something in Genevieve’s ear then straightened up and grinned at me.
“You know how to play hide and seek?” she asked.
“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me.” I muttered. Cole shook her head.
“Guess that’s a yes. Genevieve take her down to the gardens and you can play with her.” Cole smirked at me as Genevieve led me away. Sarah was giggling. I had to keep my free hand in pocket to stop myself from doing something that would probably get my ass kicked.
“Okay you’re it.” Genevieve said. She led me to a large tree and made me face it; I covered my eyes with my hands and started counting.
“…ten… nine… eight… seven… six… oh this is so stupid… five… four… three… two… one… zero.” I muttered. I turned back and realized how large the garden was and groaned. I wandered around looking for the small girl for what seemed like hours. I walked towards a large tree and decided maybe it would be a good idea if I climbed the tree. Then maybe I would be able to find her easily. I didn’t realize how high I climbed though. When I looked down I bit my lip hard and realized this was the worst idea I had ever had. I gripped the tree branch under me and looked around for any help.

I must have fallen asleep because when I opened my eyes it was pitch black outside. I looked down and could barely see the ground below me. I hit my head against the tree trunk behind me. My eyes went wide.
“Crap Genevieve! I forgot about her, oh crap I’m gonna get killed for this.” I muttered. I hugged the branch I was sitting on and let the bottom half of my body slide off of the branch. I closed my eyes and held onto the branch refusing to let go.
“Okay now this is officially the stupidest and most simple minded thing I have ever done, way to go Aliaana. Just hang from a tree branch and wait for someone to see you. Honestly you’re a genius. And I’m talking to myself…great.” I looked down and tightened my grip on the tree branch. I heard footsteps and became hopeful.
“h-hello?” I asked loudly, I heard the footsteps coming closer. I kept my eyes down soon a dark figure stood under the tree.
“What are you doing up there? Come down.” The figure said.
“I’m stuck.” I called back down. I heard a light laugh and felt something tugging at my ankle. Then something slithered up my leg and wrapped itself around my waist. I held tighter onto the tree as it began pulling me down.
“Just let go!” the figure ordered. I reluctantly loosened my grip and closed my eyes. I felt my feet hit the floor and the thing slithered away again. I looked at the figure.
“Uh thanks.” I said squinting to try and see who it was.
“S’okay. Could you tell me what you were doing hanging from a tree?”
“I was playing hide and seek.” I muttered. The figure laughed again.
“In the dark?”
“Yes in the dark.” I said sarcastically. “Where’s Genevieve?” I asked quickly.
“With Sarah, how do you know her? You don’t sound very familiar.”
“I’m new here. Could you just take me to Cole please?” I asked. I was sick of outside and wanted to get back into the castle.
“May I know your name first?”
“Yeah Aliaana, and yours?” I asked. There was a pause.
“I’m Ally.” The voice said softly.
